meet dr. taylor

Dr. Taylor was born and raised in Bardstown, Kentucky and has had a passion for animals ever since he can remember. Dr. Taylor graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1977 with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. In 1981 he attended Auburn University and graduated with his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Taylor spent many years working on small and large animals in rural Kentucky and eventually decided to return home to Bardstown, Kentucky in 1993 when he opened Bardstown Animal Clinic. Since then, Dr. Taylor has put his heart and soul into this clinic to create a unique veterinary experience where you and your pet can feel like a part of the family when you come here. In Dr. Taylor’s free time he enjoys spending time on the farm and taking care of cattle with his faithful companion Kobi Jo. Dr. Taylor performs all aspects of care for his patients, but he has a special interest in companion animal dentistry.

meet dr. SEAN

Dr. Sean is a Bardstown Native and attended undergraduate at University of Kentucky where he graduated in 2013 with his Bachelors in Animal Science and a Minor in Biology. Dr. Sean attended Auburn University for Veterinary School and graduated with his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. Dr. Sean has grown up in the veterinary industry and has been a part of Bardstown Animal Clinic since he was 8 months old. Dr. Sean has always had a passion for science and learning, that combined with his upbringing around animals inspired him to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. In Dr. Sean’s spare time he enjoys reading, attending CrossFit, running, and pondering the mysteries of what cats and dogs are really thinking. Dr. Sean has 2 spoiled cats named Jack and Jill that are extra fond of lots of treats. Dr. Sean’s special interests include; Feline Medicine, pathology, ultrasound, and dermatology.

Dr. Baumler is originally from Louisville, Kentucky and attended undergraduate at Midway University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology and her bachelor’s degree in Equine Science and a minor in Chemistry in 2019. Dr. Baumler attended Auburn University for Veterinary School and graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. Dr. Baumler’s love for animals dates back to an early age, as she has home videos as a child standing by the fireplace proclaiming that she would be a “singing doctor” when she grows up. Dr. Baumler came to work at BAC in her last year of veterinary school and felt right at home at Bardstown Animal Clinic and she has been working here ever since. In Dr. Baumler’s free time she enjoys singing, playing her guitar, fishing, hunting, and checking out the local thrift shops. Dr. Baumler has a Golden Retriever named Winnie, a French Bulldog mix named Waverly, an English Bulldog named Ellie May, and a kitten named Anakin Skywalker. Dr. Baumler’s special interests include Brachycephalic breed health, dermatology, and pain management.

MEET ROSE MARIE

Rose Marie Taylor is the office manager and lead receptionist, as well as the wife of Dr. Taylor and the mother of Dr. Sean. Rosemarie is the heart and soul of Bardstown Animal Clinic and has never met a stranger. Rose Marie has a little poodle named Ozzy and a cat named Patty. In Rose Marie’s spare time she enjoys shopping, reading, spending time with friends and family, and going out on the town with Dr. Taylor. Rose Marie feels very fortunate to be able to work with her husband and son every day.

SAVANNAH

Savannah, is originally from Illinois and moved here 10 years ago to attend school at the University of Kentucky where she received a degree in public health. Savannah has always loved animals and knew she wanted a career where she was able to help them. Savannah has 3 dogs, a mini Aussie named Zoe, a Shepherd mix named Ruger, and a Lab mix named Beam. Outside of work Savannah enjoys spending time with her family, playing with her dogs, and being outdoors.

BRITTANY

Brittany graduated from Brown Mackie College in 2009 and is a licensed veterinary technician. Brittany grew up on a farm in Bardstown where she developed her love for animals. Brittany strives to provide the best care for our patients and wants to be there to help your pet when they need it most. Brittany has 2 horses and several dogs, but she has a particular love for French Bulldogs. Outside of work Brittany enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 kids. They love doing things outdoors together like camping and boating. Brittany has interest in special needs animals and even has a blind dog and deaf dog of her own. It is important for Brittany to offer compassion and care for all pets that she works with.

Trish has been working as a veterinary technician at Bardstown Animal Clinic for 9 years and always manages to fill our clinic with personality and laughter. Trish has always had a passion for animals and has been working with animals since high school! Trish is an excellent pet groomer and worked as a groomer for many years before she decided to come back to veterinary medicine. Trish has a dog named Lillee, 2 cats, named Rita and Chappa, and a bunny rabbit named Motley Crue. When Trish is not at work she loves to spend time with her best friend/husband of 25 years, Jason, and their 2 beautiful children Danielle and Levi. Trish loves what she does and is dedicated to providing the best possible care for your pet!

Debbie is a veterinary technician who has been working at Bardstown Veterinary Clinic for over a decade! She has always loved animals and previously had a career in the medical field as a highly skilled paramedic for many years. Once she retired she knew working as a veterinary technician was the perfect way to combine her love for both medicine and animals. Debbie has 2 dogs, an English Sheepdog named Scootie, and a Shih Tzu named Sandy. She also has 2 indoor cats and 14 outdoor cats that she loves dearly. Outside of work Debbie enjoys helping Dr. Taylor out at the farm and spending time with her family.

MEET BRANDY

Brandy is a close friend of the Taylor family and helps out from time to time at the front desk. Brandy has a big heart and will always greet you with a smile when she sees you at Bardstown Animal Clinic. Brandy has 2 dogs named Lucy and Susie, in her spare time she loves to travel and spend time with her loving husband and children.
